I’m an AI Research Engineer with 5+ years of experience in designing AI systems. My work focuses on (edge) AI training and evaluation, with emphasis on diagnosing model failures, applying techniques such as knowledge distillation and attribution-based regularization to improve model behaviour (AI Model Compression), designing automated evaluation frameworks to assess model performance and reliability across diverse scenarios and edge cases (Data & Model Evaluation), incorporating domain knowledge into development workflows and designing interpretable training objectives to enhance model performance and reliability for real-world deployment (Interpretability and Deployment).

Currently, I am a Senior AI Scientist at Lloyds Banking Group, where I work on AI Safety, focusing on AI risk, governance, and guardrails for generative and agentic AI use cases in the financial sector. Prior to this, I was a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow at the University of Strathclyde, where I worked on developing Trustworthy AI approaches with a focus on sustainability in the energy sector. I’m also open to collaborations in these areas. If you have a project idea, want to discuss AI (Safety), or just want to connect, the best way to contact me is via my personal email or LinkedIn.

Beyond work, I like building and flying FPV drones, social dance, Hong Kong cinema, neuroscience and jazz.
